Beginning September 1st, we will begin our transition to winter hours. For the month of September the only change will be that we will be closed on Sundays. Beginning in October, we will further reduce our hours, closing at 6pm (rather than 8pm) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Our current hours can always be found in the upper right hand corner of this website.
This will be the first in a monthly series highlighting some of the new products around the shop. Of course, this is but a sampling, and cannot compare with the splendor of aimlessly wandering around the store.
After a one week break, we'll be back tomorrow with a Tuesday night ride. Show up at 6pm and expect to ride 1.5-2 hours, depending on the group. The route will be roughly the same as the one posted below, but may be shortened to suit the speed of the group. Ride leader this week will be Bob! Hope to see you there.
It looks like it'll be another rainy weekend, so here's something to entice you into braving the storms (we have a supremely entertaining basement and staff if you happen to get caught here during a severe weather warning). Friday through Sunday, if you buy a new bike you'll receive 10% of the price of the bike in free accessories. For example, if you purchase a $500 bike you will receive $50 in free accessories. Purchase a $1000 bike and receive $100 in free accessories. If you can't immediately spend the accessory credit, we'll give you a gift card to spend it later.
This Tuesday we'll be kicking off our Tuesday night rides. We haven't done this for a while, so it will be an evolving process. We are starting simple, with a very classic river loop, ridden on road bikes. We will depart the shop around 6pm. If we get a prompt start, we may be able to extend the route and still make it back with daylight to spare. The pace will be 17-20mph. Everyone is welcome. There is a facebook event if you'd be so kind as to confirm your attendance.
To encourage you to brave the gloomy weekend weather, we'll be offering 20% off of the original MSRP on all remaining 2011 (and older) model bicycles. The special is valid only from Friday, April 27th through Sunday, April 29th and cannot be combined with any other promotional pricing. All new bikes include two years of free service (from date of purchase) and 10% off on acccessories for 90 days. Cool, right?
We've been putting in extra hours to ensure prompt repair turnaround time. It's beautiful outside, and we fully appreciate that time is better spent riding rather than waiting. To encourage you to bring in your bikes before the weekend, we're offering our first social media coupon on facebook. Coupon is valid through Friday, April 6th (get your bike in by Friday and it is valid even if your bike is not completed by then). We'll be trying to post some kind of special at least once a week, so hop over to facebook, and like us! Thanks.
Last week we switched our service provider for both phone and Internet. The joint (mis-)efforts of Comcast and Centurylink have resulted in a small number of our customers receiving a message that our phone is not in service. This is not the case, and we apologize if you are in the minority that has been unable to contact us. Rest assured that we are doing everything we can (i.e. complaining vigourously to each company, while suggesting that "business class service" deserves a higher degree of urgency).
Now that we've settled in to the new website, it's time to start updating it with things that are happening in and around the shop. The blog area will be for personal opinion and expression, while the news area will carry features about products, promotions, events, rides, hours, etc.
